New Componit

Performance and Maintenance

In the era of digital transformation, information security has become a vital pillar to protect both business and customer data. With ever-evolving cyber threats, ensuring a secure environment is not just a priority but a strategic responsibility for every company.

However, guaranteeing security doesn’t just mean adopting cutting-edge technologies – it requires a deep cultural shift that involves every level of the organization.

At New Componit, we’ve embarked on an ambitious journey to strengthen information security, guided by three main pillars: continuous training, proactive technology, and a culture of collaboration. This journey is not just an investment to protect our company but also a commitment to ensuring that our clients’ data is always secure.

Continuous Training: The Heart of the Strategy

At New Componit, we firmly believe that the first step toward enhanced security lies in people. Every member of our team is an active participant in this journey, as individual awareness and preparation are our greatest allies. Technology alone isn’t enough—if people aren’t trained to recognize and handle threats, the entire security system can become vulnerable.

Continuous training is, therefore, the heart of our strategy. We regularly organize sessions that go beyond theory, offering practical and immediately applicable tools. For instance, our team members learn to:

  • Identify and handle phishing emails.
  • Create and store secure passwords.
  • Apply best practices for protecting sensitive data.
  • And much more.

This approach allows us to transform every employee from the “weakest link” in the chain into the “first line of defense” for the company.

Information security cannot be delegated—it is a shared responsibility involving everyone within the organization.

Technology and Prevention: A Proactive Approach

If people are the heart of the strategy, technology is the backbone of our security system. While absolute security may not exist, a preventive and dynamic method can make a significant difference.

We utilize advanced technological solutions to monitor our infrastructure in real time, identifying and mitigating threats before they can cause harm. These technologies enable us to:

  • Constantly monitor data traffic and suspicious behaviors.
  • Quickly identify vulnerabilities and take immediate action.
  • Protect both company and customer data, reinforcing the trust they place in us.

With these tools, we can ensure a safer environment for our processes and, consequently, for our partners’ operations. Trust is a crucial element in any business relationship, and information security is one of the best ways to build and strengthen it over time

Information Protection: A Team Effort

Information security is not a destination but a continually evolving journey. Every day brings new threats, and we are committed to anticipating and addressing them with determination.

To achieve this, we believe in the power of collaboration: working together with our team and partners to build a secure and resilient system. Every step forward we take is the result of teamwork, where each individual’s contribution is fundamental. This enables us to face future challenges with confidence and determination, creating a safe environment not only for New Componit but also for the clients who trust us.

Information Security and Energy Efficiency: Two Complementary Goals

Information security is an integral part of our broader commitment to efficiency and industrial innovation. Protecting data means safeguarding the solutions we offer, ensuring that our clients can rely on secure and efficient processes.

Our thirty years of experience in developing textile solutions for thermal insulation have taught us that every detail matters. Reducing thermal losses and optimizing plant performance require precision and, equally, the secure and reliable management of the data that supports these processes.

At New Componit, we stand by industrial companies not only to improve energy efficiency but also to build a safer future.

Our expertise and dedication allow us to be a reliable and proactive partner in both areas.

Want to improve comfort and performance in your plant with a tailored solution?

There are fewer and fewer maintenance workers in plants, and the number of tasks each worker has to oversee is increasing. In the past, scheduled shutdowns, even of long duration, were periodically planned to carry out several checks and maintenance operations on plant equipment. Today, however, these types of shutdowns are becoming increasingly rare.

At New Componit, we felt it was important to adapt to these changes and offer, in addition to high-quality products, a dedicated maintenance service package. We aim to assist our customers before and after the product supply, as long as they need us. We have translated this 360° approach into a precise service package that we call Efficiency Box®.

Good morning, today I would like to talk to you about an important department of our company: the technical office.

Nowadays the technical office must be more and more flexible, working in close contact with sales office.

The work of our technical department is supported by a solid modeling software called “Solidwork”.

Working with a mathematical 3D model allows us to be able to analyze the object at 360° and therefore assess its exact dimensions; in this way we do not risk losing some details that with the 2D drawing might not be clearly visible.

Thanks to a 3D model that faithfully reflects the object, as it is made and installed, surveys are no longer necessary; the product is modeled directly on the object to which it will be applied, making the engineering process more streamlined and safer in terms of dimensional errors.

Davide Oldani – Technical Manager

When visiting industrial plants, you can come across many situations and unforeseen difficulties, like finding sediments on walls.

Usually, sediments on walls are the result of residual unburned powders or stored powders which, if not promptly and adequately removed, tend to solidify and damage the relative equipment or structure.

To our customers who have reported this problem, we have recently started to offer the Safefon® sound cleaning system, which is a horn powered by compressed air, whose terminal diffuser, placed inside the structure to be cleaned, is able to remove the dust sediment from walls, through the emission of a sound wave.

In an industrial plant, whatever the sector it belongs to, several problems can arise; some of them are common and therefore easily solved. In other cases, however, may occur problems which are more complex to solve.

This is the case of granular materials: we are talking about that dust, which is formed during the industrial process and which can damage the equipment.

As it often happens, in these situations we tend to postpone a problem that doesn’t seem imminent or whose consequences are not immediately visible.

But it is exactly in these cases that, over time, develop encrustation which risk to compromise the proper working of industrial boilers, silos, furnaces, bag filters, heat exchangers, industrial fans, scrubbers, ducts and bag filter housing.

The industrial fields involved are the most different, just think about:

  • Dust from ceramic industry;
  • Steel dust from foundries or steelworks;
  • Gypsum from cement industry;
  • Dusty substances from food, chemical, or pharmaceutical sector;
  • Combustion ashes from power plants;

The incrustations that form are the result of the presence of unburned powders or stored powders which, if not correctly removed, tend to solidify, risking damaging the machinery or jeopardizing its functioning.

Let’s see some examples together:

  • in industrial fans, the accumulation of deposits on the blades can unbalance the rotor and cause dangerous vibrations.
  • ash deposits in boilers and heat exchangers can clog the pipes;
  • in silos the materials risk depositing and creating blockage.

In all these cases, we erroneously think that the dust removal entails expensive, bulky, solutions, also difficult to install/remove or even worse, that interrupts the production cycle.

New Componit has developed SAFEFON® horns, a sound cleaning system, which, unlike more traditional systems, such hammers, air blowers and mechanical retractors, it is versatile and efficient in removing dust.

The low-frequency and high-intensity sound waves create some internal vibrations, that affect the residual deposits and have a fluidifying effect.

The sound impulses are emitted by a pneumatic generator, their frequency is then modulated by a diffuser which can have different shapes and sizes depending on the application requirements and installation needs.

The Safefon® sound cleaning system:

  • doesn’t cause secondary effects to structures
  • is easy to install;
  • works in a fully automated way;
  • has no unwanted stops;
  • guarantees a reduction in operating and maintenance costs.

In a piping system, joints and threaded fittings in flanges form, rather than sockets or expansion joints are obviously a daily occurrence.

Flanges

Within a piping system, the flange is therefore a mechanical part intended to provide a non-permanent connection between two pipes. They are points where pressure, heat, vibrations are particularly strong and above all they are structurally weak points, because they are contact points between different connections.

They are points that cannot be welded to increase their resistance, as they must allow disconnection between pipes for scheduled or accidental maintenance.

Why cover the flanges

Because they are “weak points“, in a piping system it is important to cover the flanges so that operators can work safely.

Flanged couplings crossed by chemically aggressive products or any potentially harmful product are a source of risk to the safety of personnel. In the event of failure, the liquid flowing inside can be projected from the flange coupling in a wide radius and with high kinetic energy (a phenomenon known as “Jet Fire“).

For this reason, flange couplings must be provided with adequate protection against such events.

How to cover the flanges?

There are two ways to cover the flanges properly  by using: metal flange safety shields or fabric flange safety shields.

Metal flange safety shields  are realized with  different types of stainless steel, depending on the fluid flowing through the pipes, so that in the event of a leak the flange safety shield will tend to contain the fluid inside, letting it to drip to the ground, in this way the pressure is eliminated .

In particular, New Componit metal flange safety shields are made of Stainless Steel 304, Stainless Steel 316 L and Stainless Steel 310.

Metal flange safety shields are very strong, have a very high durability, but have the drawback that they do not contain heat.

Textile flange safety shields, on the other hand, are designed with special technical fabrics, depending on the type of fluid that is conveyed in the pipes and the temperature that can be reached. Among the materials that can be used there are fibreglass and PVC.

Compared to their metal counterparts, textile flange safety shields  have the advantage to be heat-insulating. This is important  in all situations where the fluids flowing inside the pipes are particularly hot, because it allows the operator to work without the fear to get burned.

Furthermore, since they are “custom-made“, the  textile flange safety shields can be used where traditional metal insulation cannot be, for example: because there is no space for its installation or because of the conformation of the system itself, so the flange is in a “difficult” place or has been designed in a particular way.

Are you looking for a supplier to secure your flanges?

New Componit is a company that has been working in the field of fabric joints and industrial fabric insulation since 1986. Our experience in designing custom-made solutions for all our customers can guarantee a solution to any problem about safety and heat dispersion in plants.
